The Pilates method of exercise strengthens and tones muscles. Classes emphasize the quality and precision of each exercise and not quantity. These non-impact, precise and controlled movements involve concentration which engages both the mind and the body.

Most people initially notice a change in their posture followed by a general feeling of well being.

Pilates exercises are ideal for all ages and fitness levels with the instructors providing individual feedback.

A medical clearance is required if you have an ongoing injury or are pregnant.

 

Studio Classes 

Learn about the Pilates Method in a studio where you will require an initial assessment so that an individual program can be designed to meet your needs and goals. 

The price of the session will vary depending on whether you decide to continue with a one-on-one private class or you elect to join in a group class. 

During the lessons you will use a variety of studio equipment aimed at assisting you to achieve your goals. 

 

Mat Classes

The way to improve your posture, strengthen, lengthen and tone your body without machines using safe non-impact exercises.

The ideal class size is a maximum of 15. Classes are kept small to ensure personalized and individual attention is given throughout.
All classes last 1 hour.

Injuries or specific physical problems can be accommodated by notifying the instructor of any medical concerns, including pregnancy, prior to doing any class.

Classes progress according to the fitness level of the class, gradually increasing in intensity.

 

Corporate Classes

Clients find that the principles learnt during the Pilates class can be incorporated in their day-to-day life resulting in improved posture and a general feeling of well being.

The one-hour classes can be held before, during or after work. 
All that you need is a space large enough to hold the class. We can visit your workplace to assist you in evaluating an appropriate space.

We recommend a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 15 to start the class. This ensures individual attention and feedback by the instructor.

Ideally classes should be a minimum of a block of 5 weeks to allow for progressive building up of knowledge. 

Classes cost $130 per session regardless of the number of clients. One person from the workplace is required to nominate themselves as the organizer and they will be the point of contact with the instructor and PilatesatWork. 

All teachers are fully accredited and qualified and have liability insurance.

For hygienic reasons each participant is required to provide their own mat which we can supply at a reduced price.

Pilates at Work has supplied a great service to staff at Hurstville Council for the past 2 years. 
The instructors have all been so professional and committed in providing the class with personal attention to suit the requirements of each individual. 
The hour spent practising Pilates every Tuesday lunch time refreshes us to face the afternoon ahead.
